The annual General Members Meeting took place on March 29, 2023. As every second year a new committe had to be elected. All committee members were re-elected by the present members. As auditors Meral Meindl was confirmed, Gabriel Weindauer was appointed new auditor.
The association
In fall 2011 the support association "Freisinger Raum der Begegnung e.V." was founded within the process of Agenda21. Inside the rooms of a former restaurant we offer locality and opportunity for meetings according to our central ideas:

„Freisinger Raum der Begegnung“ - a success story
At the instigation of especially the task force migration of Agenda21 and Social Advisory Panel and by the resolution of the Main Committee of the City of Freising, the support association "Freisinger Raum der Begegnung e.V." was founded on 6 July 2011.
According to our statutes the main targets of our organization are:
to enable meetings of people in their diversity, to overcome and let vanish boundaries, to support civic engagement, to promote integration, to develop tolerance, to live community.
In this sense the municipal rooms of a former restaurant inside the „Haus der Vereine“ are made available to volunteers of social, cultural and environmental spheres - under certain circumstances for a low fee by the day or by the hour (for details see „Raum der Begegnung“).
The City of Freising supports the project financially and also takes active part through the „Treffpunkt Ehrenamt“.
In accordance with the above mentioned central ideas the „organization of a different kind“ developed to an intercultural community centre. It offers home for various groups and serves as a platform and network for activities in the sense of its statutes. In many cases, it enables the civic commitment of volunteers and makes a significant contribution to strengthening the versatile, voluntary activities and getting to know each other in Freising.
The long list of more than 40 groups using or having used the rooms demonstrates the international and miscellaneous diversifications of the community centre. These groups include also different circles of helpers for the topic "Asylum and migration". On a frequently updated „Occupancy Plan for Regular Groups“ and on the page „Our Groups“ you can find out who is using the rooms, and additionally how to get in touch. Both, the occupany plan and the "Our groups" are in German only.
In addition to the regular meetings of the various groups there are interesting, well visited events. Details can be found at the tab "News".
Great demand and thousands of visitors every year encourage us in our efforts. We want to inspire many people to become a member and through this support and promote this exemplary initiative.
